Working throughout North America, Mr. Rita’s credits include work with the Alley Theatre in Houston, Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, Center Stage in Baltimore, Ford’s Theatre in Washington DC, The Guthrie in Minneapolis, Goodman Theatre in Chicago, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, The Old Globe in San Diego, The Huntington Theatre in Boston, Vancouver Opera in Canada, Hartford Stage in Connecticut and over forty productions with the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, where Mr. Rita has designed for many seasons.

 

He has designed productions starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave, Martin Sheen, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher and Dana Reeve, Lewis Black, Marisa Tomei, Mark Linn-Baker, Justin Long, Melissa Errico, Betty Buckley, Kate Burton, Victor Garber, Eric Stoltz, Olympia Dukakis, Andrea Martin, Hope Davis, Blythe Danner, James Whitmore, Calista Flockhart, Christopher Walken, Cherry Jones, Frank Langella, Treat Williams, Justine Bateman, Christine Lahti and George Wendt.
